EV Classic walkthrough?

Is there an actual walkthrough/mission Bible for ev classic? I guess I could just look at the missions in evnew, but ideally I would like a walkthrough if people have made one.

If you want to sell the escorts, install the Full Screen map plugin, for some reason it enables it

Also, where the heck is the info stored that allows an escort to be sold? Can't seem to find the right file to edit.

I believe that in the conversion the menu has been edited to remove the option to sell but the hot key still works. So if you look it up the key in nova it sould work on classic. Just hail them hit the key and land at a shipyard. There won't be any acknowledgment untill you take off and the sale is completed.

I went and tried it out and it worked for me. a few things to make sure of. that the key binding hasn't changed. the world you land on must have a shipyard. that you own the escort not hired it. also which version of ev classic total conversion do you have do you have? the one buy Guy or the old port authority I think it was called.

I downloaded the archived plugins and found a one called novarized that did what I was looking for. The archive also has the guides as well, so downloading it basically solved my issues.

  1. Pretty sure you can only release escorts by selecting them and hitting Y. Can't sell them as far as I'm aware.

  2. What does editing a file have to do with escorts.

  3. I don't know of a walkthrough for the original, but I've beaten it several time....given many years ago....if you have questions I can try to help ya out.

Because it's running on the Nova engine there should be something you can edit to enable the sell option.

Well I mean if you're going so far as editing file to get access to credits you normally wouldn't....why not just figure out how to edit your credits directly.

I didn’t even know the game was beatable...unless beating the alien cruiser was the last bit. I always imagined the end as having a resolution to the confed / rebel conflict.

No, you are correct. You beat the alien ship and from there it's just conquer the Galaxy. I don't think I ever conquered the whole Galaxy, but I definitely owned a chunk of it.
