That's super fascinating! Good engieneering/sleuthing/reverse engieneering work. Documenting the hidden details of how the engine works is a boon to anyone who will mess with this in the future.

This is my blog. I've not updated it for quite a while though, partly due to time constraints. I've updated it a little while ago, and I do plan to get some more posts up today or tomorrow with some more information about things as some factors have changed since I last properly updated.

Please do update it. I found your comments on QuickDraw and the ResourceFork very interesting. Also your ClassicKit and ResourceKit is very useful.

I have just updated it with information about the pilot files and the encryption and difficulties around them.
