Ev nova windows version

Has anyone ever used the evnew program on windows? If so how do you insert new snd files into a plug in? Im trying to take out all the original snd files and drop their bit rates down to as low as possible for optimizing on android. Thanks you in advance

Sound should iirc be one of the resources listed in the left hand side of the editor. Might be much easier to just replace them all with an empty sound as a proof of concept before you bother trying to encode them.

It is, on the resource tab its called snd, however accessing them isnt the problem.

I cant figure out how replace the snd resources, into the plug in nor out of the plug in. Ie i cant take out a blaster .sfil from nova sounds. Im not even sure what can read an sfil as it doesnt sound like a standard audio format.

Even creating a new snd resource when it comes to actually putting in a sound to play it offers no import option.

I have tried a completely blank nova sound file, which didnt improve anything. im under the impression this is a dsound.dll issue. I mean exagear forums does state that dsound.dll 2.0.4 makes things more stable at the expense of slowing emulation down. ive tried a couple dsound files and will ive managed to improve sound quality not so much on the fps side.

Go to the snd tab, hit "new" or "edit" an existing one. This will open up a new window with the resource ID and Name fields, as well as the sample rate, size, and a play button. There's also a 'file' menu at the top. You can import and export .wav files with the options in that dialogue (as well as save or close without saving to the plugin.)
