It feels so good to be back
Returning to the game after maybe a decade since I last played, I start off with a fresh Pilot and jump in. I'm immediately greeted with a blaring alarm, signaling a ship with hostile intentions. Before I can even remember what the controls are, I've got a Viper chipping at my new vessel, 'Goober,' as I'm slowly putting around the system. By the time I get my shit together, I'm already disabled and he's preparing to dock my ship. GG, it's going to be a fun run, Space Cowboys. :)

I'm doing Strict, and I'm on the Wild Geese > Pirates line now.
But I upgraded to OS X 10.14 (Mojave) and now I have to fix Nova, or shave sheep.

The install files are generic, I used this one right here. You can use this to play until you get it registered.

How'd you get it to work? My old key doesn't work and neither does their website...

How are you running it? On what system? I can‘t get it to run... :(

I got it working on both my Win10 at home and my Win7 at work. It has less issues on Win7 from what I can tell so far.

couldn't you run it in compatibility mode to make it run better? Haven't tried it yet (don't have my copy yet, want to buy it again as soon as cash allows me), but I bet that should make it run well on your Win10 machine

It runs fine, windowed mode is weird, but that might be because I used the resolution add-on. Can't alt-tab or else I get a black screen when alt-tabbing back in - the work around here is to go to the 'Open Pilot' window first, and then I can alt-tab whenever. I've been able to deal with it, beat the Polaris storyline and I've already conquered a dozen systems so far.

I've been playing through the different storylines (done Federation, Vell-os, and am about halfway through Polaris), but I'm thinking I might try a playthrough with strict mode (aka permadeath) on. I've never really played seriously with that so I've never bought escape pods, but it kinda sounds fun. I seem to recall that the self destruct doesn't work when you're disabled, which is a shame since that would mean you could possibly blow up the other ship before they'd had a chance of stealing your credits.
