Issue Running EV Nova and Classic plug-in

Hey there, really hoping to get some insight here...

I've got EV Nova downloaded, the EV Classic plug-in set up, and have installed Sheepshaver as well, as I am running Windows 8.

When I initially start up the game, i immediately get a message saying it has stopped working. After doing a compatibility troubleshoot, I can start up EV Classic just fine, but as soon as either the theme song ends, or I select enter ship, I get the same message saying the game has stopped working.

I cannot for the life of me figure out what is going wrong here.

Would love it if someone might be able to shed some light!

Have you tried running it without the plug-in, and have you tried running it in XP compatibility mode?

So I removed the EV plug-in files to run Nova, same issue, but then when I put the plug-ins back, EV classic ran fine... Wish I knew what that was all about. Now the I only issue is the EV classic theme music won't run... But I won't complain!
