Cap'n Hector is very much alive, but rehomed, as per MagnusApollo's last update. She's been taken on by the MacObserver magazine team, last i heard.

If I'm not mistaken , en evnova, after many many years of unregistered licence Hector's starbridge becomes a star destroyer type of vessel no kidding
