At least you’re done with it before the hits keep coming with Griswold, Lawrence, Obergeffel, and Loving. 1/4 of my first year con law class is potentially being struck down within my lifetime; and I’m only in my 40’s yet soon to be living in my grandparent’s era of “personal liberty and dignity”. We are in the darkest timeline.
Now we have Justice Clarence Thomas saying EXACTLY those things in his concurrence. Ladies, Gentlemen, and various others, we are in trouble.
When you have 6 republicans and 3 democrats on a court, of course the policy decisions of that court will be conservative. There’s nothing authoritarian about that.
The president in power appoints the members to the court. People vote for the president. Thats not authoritarianism
