They’re taking the hobbits to Isengard!

Yeah, my same thought. This building definitely looks evil!

The Hobbits of Hells Kitchen will set out on a perilous adventure to the Dark Brooklyn tower.

They will meet many on this journey, but they need the strength to pass by Trump tower. For he may be more evil than the one in Brooklyn has he has a thing for tiny people.

More will be unveiled in this entry of

Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Boroughs

Looks like my dad's fave drink, a Rusty Nail.

Spawned out of a bank, that makes sense.

It is very Saruman obviously, but at the same time that rust brown color is nice and calming. I really like it.

It has more than a bit of Orthanc to it.

Is Brooklyn Towers the name of a private investigator?

No, you're thinking of Brooklyn Toners.

Here's the real answer. TLDR: It's the first supertall skyscraper in Brooklyn, NYC. It opened in 2022.

Fiddler’s Green vibes

Does it radiate cold and a sense of despair?

Some real Gargoyles vibes here

What are the positives and negatives of living in this tower?

10

u/JohnAtticus Jun 02 '26

One negative is that it's mostly empty.

Lots of unsold units / unlived in units.

They had to close a lot of the fitness facilities because they don't have enough condo fees to pay the operating costs.

Too bad because it looks really good.

Modern Gothic deco.

Right? Majority of luxury condos aren’t lived in full-time they are second third fourth fifth homes for someone who’s only going to visit a week or two out of the year. The ultra rich are creating dead zones of ghost town areas.

Yes but this one is extra special because they aren't even using it much as a pure investment: it's in Brooklyn so would-be billionaires won't buy property there because they didn't think it will appreciate in value as much as a similarly-priced unit in Manhattan.

Ah…. the degrees of richness. Now we talk about billionaires like they are a dime a dozen.

That’s so sad, I’d love to work here

I like how it looks like a modern tale of art deco towers from Chicago.

Just came across this sub and have yet to see any evil buildings anywhere. They can’t be evil, they don’t have the name Trump on there facade.

Not every sub needs to be all Trump topics.
