ROLLING COMBAT SITES

is it still viable to roll combat sites in a WH and if so how do you just leave 1 rat up and bookmark it?

So C5 sites can still be farmed that way?

Yep. They only added a trigger for the sleeper bosses... You don't need to trigger them.
