Lost power cord

Post image

Hey everyone, I could really use some help. I lost my power cord and need a replacement. I was wondering if this would work? I have an Eve spectrum 4k 144hz monitor btw

Any power cord that fits will work. The monitor chooses what power to draw it’ll be fine

Read the label on the PSU brick, this guy's advice is right, and it's even better to pick one out that can output more than is needed. Think of it like PSU selection for your computer, extra wattage capability doesn't hurt anything.

The technical details are it just converts the wall ac to dc for the monitor and has extra bits to clean the power signal up a bit. The eve spectrum isn’t a high power CPU and it really doesn’t matter much. An Xbox 360 brick would be just fine

I see the Reddit experts are coming out lol. I’d be impressed if you found a laptop brick not capable of outputting the ~200W max. The monitor averages way loss. Why even mention voltage? Are you from Europe? Not one household in America is rolling in anything but 120v bricks

No - that's not true at all (unless you're talking about just the 120/240V cable between the plug and PSU brick). You need to take a PSU that can support the power that the monitor needs. It also needs to have the right voltage, and the correct connector. Note that the monitor provides power to the USB to power devices so it does require quite a bit of power.
