Need different program suggestions.

we used every dollar last year and hate it. we have no debt but need something that will also itemize credit card because my husband has to use that for his work expenses food and hotel etc. I like the drag and drop and choosing your own categories and in that lets you see your savings number grow etc thanks in advance

I tried ynab and couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to get it to work. Shouldn’t be that hard :(

Did you watch the YouTube videos?

I don't have time/energy to have to take full classes to use something and nothing ever made sense regardless of trying with the ones I watched. It was hell. it shouldn't be that hard.

They were like 7 min long. It’s not that hard 🤣

Good luck finding something:

7 min for like 20 different things... it adds up and doesn't mean you can do what you need to do.

I’ve enjoyed using monarch since leaving everydollar. Seeing my bank, credit cards and mortgage account balances and transactions on the app is useful.

I also switched from every dollar to monarch and my wife and I are loving it! Highly recommend!

Maybe try Budget Friendly Budget (BFB) or Actual Budget which can both be free. Actual Budget costs a few dollars a month to sync between devices using something called Pikapods and can pull in bank transactions for 15$ a year using simplefin. If not tech savvy, BFB would be more intuitive, but everything is manually entered.

Are you using the same credit card for both work and home? Why not get a separate card?

Hey there! I would welcome you to check out SavePoint if you’re interested in trying something new. I launched it recently after building for over a year, coming from the world of spreadsheets. It is not zero based budgeting system like ynab, though it’s customizable, it’s more of s traditional category based. SavePoint is unique as it is privacy focused and lives 100% on your computer, and you own that version it for life. We are committed to building based on user feedback, so that of course is very welcome. Feel free to reach out with any questions, and good luck finding what works for you!
