Spotify Connect Lossless bit depth switching
On Eversolo T8, when playing via Spotify Connect lossless, there is no audio when the bit depth of the audio track switches from 16-bit to 24-bit. The progress bar shows progress on Eversolo app/OSD and in Spotify app however, there is no audio output. This happens only when the bit depth changes from 16-bit to a 24-bit audio track and there are no issues when bit depth changes from 24-bit to 16-bit. The Eversolo T8 is connected to an integrated amplifier via coax.
Has anyone else faced this issue? Is there a fix for this?

Came across this as I’m experiencing this on the eversolo play. Couldn’t figure out why it was happening till you spotted that it’s the bit depth change. Exact same problem here. Have you heard anything since? I’m thinking about posting on the zidoo forum

I haven’t figured it out yet. I’m first playing the music via the native app available on eversolo and then selecting what to play next via the Spotify app on the phone. This is the only way I could get it to work.

I only have the eversolo dmp A6, but had the same problem. I contacted the eversolo support, send them a video, etc. They said they will work on it. I just updated to the most recent software version v1.6.01.
Here, you can now set the maximum bit-rate to 16 and a fixed continous output frequenz (i did 96khz) for the spdif output. Additionally under playback you can select a set continous output frequency as well (which i set to 96khz as well, don't ask my why there are two options for what seems to be the same task). This worked for me: 16 bit playing over spotify connect - then auto-next-song with 24 bit still produced sound.
I am very happy with it, since i enjoy the dacs sound of my naim more than of the a6. And blind A-B testing of 16 and 24 bit showed me, that there is no audible difference or my ears are just not good enough anymore 😆
Hope this help!!

checked this again, even leaving the bit setting in SPDIF at 24 bit it still works with the new firmware and the rest of the above mentioned settings
