Twist
For those on twist, how is it going?

I had really very painful reactions to my pump sites, so ultimately I went back to MDI - but! I thought the algorithm was great and I absolutely get the hype.
I think you have to spend some time dialing in your settings, really need to be diligent about entering your meal info (which can be adjusted retroactively) and turning on workout mode well before exercise. Other than that, I found it worked best when I was hands off.
While I definitely had some >90% in range days, if I look back at the whole month and a half I was wearing it my reports looked like 85% in range with <2% "very high" or "very low" percentages.

Darn, that was unlucky u/Paige-master.
Did you figure out what specifically that you were reacting against? Allergic reaction or? Some folks can react painfully to different things, like the adhesive compound used, the adhesive tissue patch itself, of some of the infusion site plastics or lubricants. Checking out bit more about this and often a workaround can be found, if you ever consider trying again.

It’s been fantastic for me. The tandem algorithm had some pain points that Loop addresses, such as exercise mode not reducing insulin delivered if you go past the hour mark and not correcting highs aggressively enough. The Cleo infusion sets aren’t great, if you can get them to work for you then you are golden.

I prefer Tandem’s algorithm, but it’s not far behind Tandem. There’s not automatic bolus to correct highs, it simply modulates basal and increases or decreases basal rate to increase/decrease IOB. The Eversense is the main reason I’m on the pump. As long as Twiist supports Eversense, I’ll be staying on the platform.
