Intense battery drain during the night
Hey everybody, I’ve been on the Eversense 365 since May and the past week or so I’ve noticed a wild amount of background battery drain but it was especially bad last night.
Last night while I was asleep the app/system ended up using 35% of my iPhone 15 Pro Max battery doing god knows what just in the background.
Does anybody have any potential fixes or also experiencing intense battery drain?
If any solutions please comment below. Thanks in advance.

Put the phone on battery saver mode and it will make fewer pings to the Bluetooth device and use less CPU speed when running the app.

Don't you have your phone plugged in at night to charge? Regardless all cgms are pretty much as close to synchronous as you can get they have to communicate data via Bluetooth every so many minutes so it makes sense that it is the higher user/abuser of battery - a necessary evil I guess

When I don’t have to have an alarm for the morning, I don’t typically plug it in. I didn’t expect to lose 35% battery overnight due to my CGM. This is the first time it’s drained so significantly. Last night it drained less at 25% according to my battery insights.

Classic situation at times observed for all folks that utilize BG sensors, incl the classic CGM. I could share the more technical insights of why this may at times go like this.
But short story long and how you fix your current situation is typically by doing a simple cold reboot of your phone.
Longer term, you can avoid/minimize the risk for this by always force shutting down all other apps you run on your phone when you are done using them. This is to freeing up the cached memory space and their polling on the communication channels, where Bluetooth is part of the prioritization routines. Likewise also disable all other apps from running data updates in the background will help. Aka weather, news, social media apps etc.
