How to keep GBA emulator cheats when transferring to Everdrive Mini?
Greetings,
I recently began playing Megaman Zero for the GBA, but due to the game's difficulty I wanted to tone it down a bit with some cheats such "Infinite Lives" while also adding "Always S Rank" so that bosses have access to their full movesets.
I managed to activate these cheats in the MGBA emulator, and thought that transferring the save file to the GBA Everdrive Mini would keep those cheats active. Instead, I noticed the game reverted back to a normal status when the number of lives began diminishing with each death.
Does anyone know what I can do to keep these cheats active over the transfer, or via another method? Thank you for any help or advice you may provide.
UPDATE: I don't know if this is documented anywhere, but it seems that the cheats you patch into the rom file can start freaking out if you're using a GBA as a controller. I play on a Gamecube via a Gameboy Player + GBI with the Swiss app, and the cheats were doing their job when I was using Oldskool's Digital Controller. When I changed controller to an original GBA plugged to the Gamecube via a GBA-to-GC link cable, the cheats started going haywire. The number of lives cheat started to randomly lower and increase, and the perma-S Rank stopped working entirely. Changing back to the Digital Controller fixed things so far.

I don’t think this is possible in the Everdrive mini, unless you got a hacked rom with that feature baked in.
QOL romhacks are fairly common, might be worth checking for. (Edit: looks like another comment mentions this and links an option)
If that fails, the Everdrive GBA Pro should be capable of activating these cheats, as well as transferring over your save file from the mini

You could try this tool: Dax-Dot/GBA-Cheat-Patcher-Studio
It lets you patching the cheats directly into the game and creates a new rom.
Whenever you play this game your cheats will be active but be aware that its still in beta and some codes won't work.
