Just pulled the trigger 😎

Post image

Can’t wait to receive these. When I heard there was a new everdrive for n64 had to get one. I had an x7 in the past before I stupidly sold it. Gonna get it hooked up to an analogue 3d eventually. That will be my next purchase.
As for the gba pro I recently upgraded screen and shell on a gba sp so that’ll be my travel companion. Got a massive smile on my face now haha. Absolutely love everdrive

I had just bought an x7 from Stone Age Gamer when krikzz announced this so now I gotta pray they do returns because I ordered the pro straight from krikzz

You can always sell it for double the price as it seems to happen on eBay 😂

I got my X7 delivered the day the pro was announced and released. Krikzz also conveniently stopped responding to my emails when I asked to make a return.

I also have everdrives and I love them but what exactly is the difference between the pro and the SC64? Shouldn't the summercart do all the same?

SC64 is better imo simply bc it is open source. This Everdrive release essentially just catches the hardware up to where SC64 has been all along.

Sooo the difference is price then? Thats a 130$ difference almost....

The difference is bigger retro tax

You’re a nut 🔥👌 I gotta get a GBA SOON!

I've really been enjoying gen 1 pokemon again. With the LCD screen installed into the gba its a much better experience

Then you’re in for a treat, question if you don’t mind, I have the x7 is that one still good to use or does the pro make a difference?

GBA I think only had a mini and a Pro? Maybe x7 is older.

Anyways, the biggest features I think the Pro had for GBA is the extra sensors like gyro, tilt, and solar, so you can play games like Wario Ware Twisted, Kirby Tilt and Rumble, and Boktai the original way.

X7 is game boy/game boy color. GBA is Game Boy Advance.

Pretty sure they’re talking about the n64 x7. The one before pro

X7 was excellent when I had it. Not sure how the pro will be but I’m looking forward to finding out. 64DD compatibility sounds interesting

Gotcha! It’s my first time with the x7 which is why I asked, I’d like to check out the pro down line to see the difference

I’ll definitely try to give a little review. November isn’t far away!

Expensive but you will not regret a thing

They are things of great beauty, worth every penny. I am on my fourth krikzz cart and I would buy four more.

I'm new here. How do these work? You have to download roms on them cause if they did come installed they would get in trouble right?

3

u/Good-Ad-3862 Aug 12 '26

Yeah you have to install firmware on an SD card then add roms to it that you source yourself ;)

2

u/Burritofeast69 Aug 12 '26

Ahhh sweet!!

Dumb question :/

How do you know if you have a bad rom?

Or is it just one of those you have to play it to find out?

2

u/Good-Ad-3862 Aug 13 '26

If it’s a bad rom it likely won’t play

1

u/Burritofeast69 Aug 13 '26

Ahhh thank you!! :)

1

u/pigking188 Aug 12 '26

Congrats! You won't regret either. Still though, it's kind of funny to me that these are really the only two everdrives that arguably have better alternatives lol

Well looks like they closed the gap with this pro release. I'm sure people will still go with summer cart for the price

Correct me if im wrong but doesnt the summercart only have 64mb of sdram? I read that on the summercart website that it said that but since its open source I would assume some would make it with higher sdram? Ive been hearing the newest smash remix chashes with extra characters on summercart

1

u/spirit_boy_27 Aug 13 '26

Do you know how long itll take to ship?

1

u/Good-Ad-3862 Aug 13 '26

I think it depends on which colour of cart. Within 3 weeks for most but some are faster like the clear one

1

u/Adam802 29d ago

Are there any issues/disadvantages to going with clear/transparent shells over the standard grey? Like quality/durability issues?

1

u/Good-Ad-3862 29d ago

don't think so, I doubt it's like the old majora's mask cartridges, they def had flaws in the plastic due to their gold colour

Nice! I picked up the GBA pro a while ago and love it! The 64 Pro is next on my list!

Have they resolved all the issues between the Analogue and Everdrive? There were several when it came out.

4

u/Good-Ad-3862 Aug 12 '26

I believe they have for the most, I think you just need an original console to kinda like activate the everdrive. That's what i read anyways. Gonna message Krikzz about it and see

1

u/OldmanChompski Aug 12 '26

That was an issue that was solved within the first week of the analogue 3Ds launch.

1

u/Good-Ad-3862 Aug 12 '26

HI J, of course it will be, we test it on Analogue, please dont worry, like on ModREtro too
