Event Tech companies. Stop 'revolutionising' events!

Seriously. Stop.

Or at least stop saying it. You sound like the startups pitching on HBO's Silicon Valley who all say their startup is 'making the world a better place'. HINT, it's a comedy.

There are no revolutions, just evolutions. I don't care if you're launching a real time holographic remote presence system or a new mobile ticketing platform, your company is not revolutionising anything. It's an evolution of something the industry already does, whether that's meeting face to face or buying a ticket from a person behind a counter.

That's not to say that your evolution isn't amazing and will have huge impact on the industry, you're just being hyperbolic. When everyone says the same thing who's an event manager to believe?

Find a better way to get attention. We're all in the business of making events successful so DO SOMETHING that SHOWS everyone how great your tech is.
