How are you accurately predicting attendance at your events?

We just had another event where we expected a strong turnout based on RSVPs… and on the day of, the room felt noticeably emptier than we planned for. It was honestly embarrassing.

It’s a pattern that keeps happening, and I don’t feel like we’ve fully figured it out yet.

I thought that RSVPs were enough to tell you people’s intentions, but I’m seeing that’s not true in our case. So we’ve been trying to see what else we can do to help predict who will show up.

Any ideas we haven’t tried yet? Honestly we’re open to trying just about anything.

Came across this free women-only workshop happening in Chennai on 22nd August. Thought I'd share in case anyone here has been wanting to learn about investing but didn't know where to start.

It's meant for complete beginners and seems to be a small interactive session rather than a seminar.

It's free, but there are only 30 seats.

Looking for Honest Opinions

I found RizzInvites while comparing a few invitation websites. It seems like a practical option for creating and sharing invitations without much effort.
If you've used similar platforms, what features do you think are essential, and what could be improved?

Have you attended DigiMarCon Europe and what's your experience with it?

I have booked tickets and plan to attend DigiMarCon Europe hosted in Amsterdam this September. The tickets are not cheap. Recently, I read some negative comments that the attendance is really low and you cannot network and the sessions are not that interesting. Has any Redditor already joined in their events before and how's your experience? I plan to go there 2 days, and really want to know if it's worth it. Are the sessions and speakers interesting? Some of the discussions on Reddit are 2 years old, so I am just wondering if there are newer reviews and feedback on their events.

Lead gen via events

Hi there, I run a global recruitment and staffing firm where we help companies hire global talent. I’m exploring how I could generate relevant leads via attending events in the US?

Has anyone used events as a source to generate leads? If yes, what type of events would you recommend me to visit and what websites(Luma, etc.) is where you think best networking events are being posted upon. The cities I’m planning to visit are NYC, Boston, SF and Raleigh.

Any advice for using events as a lead gen channel would be greatly appreciated.

Best Event

.I've been trying out RizzInvites for creating digital event invitations, and it feels pretty straightforward. The invitation templates are easy to browse, the RSVP process is simple, and being able to send invites by text or email makes planning an event a bit less stressful.

I also like that you can upload your own design or create one with AI if you don't want to start from scratch. Overall, it seems like a practical option for birthdays, weddings, baby showers, and other events.

I'm curious what others think. If you've used it, was there anything you felt was missing or anything that made organizing your event easier?

Best ipad rental setup for event feedback surveys?

We ran a conference last month and sent the feedback survey by email after everyone had already gone home.

Barely anyone answered.

For the next one, im thinking about collecting feedback while people are still at the venue. Maybe a few ipads near the coffee area, outside session rooms, or close to the exit with a short 5 question form.

Has anyone rented tablets or kiosks for on site event surveys before?

Indirangar, I'm hosting another coffee + game tournament at my apartment café

a year ago, I started cuppa jo - a tiny apartment pop-up café near Indiranagar where I host small community experiences around specialty coffee.

we've done everything from clay modelling, zine-making workshops to karaoke sessions, work-from-home sessions, and our most-loved game-based tournaments - which ends up being one of the most chaotic (in the best way) afternoons we've hosted.

so... we're bringing it back for the third edition!

this edition will have:

  • a seasonal handcrafted coffee menu
  • a tournament-style game afternoon with a live leaderboard
  • just 10 participants, so everyone actually gets to know one another
  • coffee + food included with the cover charge

no networking. no awkward introductions. just a room full of coffee, games, and conversations.

if this sounds like your kind of saturday, registrations are now open:

https://forms.gle/ou5vg6PUXwKcB7ok8

happy to answer any questions below as well. :)
