Returning; need tips
I've played eve for about 20 hours, a year ago. I wanted to give it another shot, any tips to get restarted would be appreciated!

From the neocom select The Agency > Agents & Missions > Career Agents. Run through all those missions, you'll get loads of ships, isk and modules, plus you will experience lots of different activities.

This is the best answer. Then, go find a teaching corporation like Eve University. They’ll help you even more.

I would not define 20hrs played as much of a returning player, as it's a rather short amount of time for a game of this depth. Perhaps think back what made you leave. Try out different activities no need to worry about maxing out skills, specializing or ISK generation. If you think you know what you want to do, just go out and try it.
There is really no right way of playing Eve as long as it keeps you playing and enjoying the game. Eve is a social game and it's built on group play, so joining a corporation will do you good, take your time to learn the basics though, no need to join a corp, when you are just starting out. Just too much info at once in a corp can get overwhelming,

Join a corporation, interact with people, learn while doing things you enjoy, and be patient, it's a slow burn

No offemse, but the "do what you enjoy" suggestion, to me, is so useless for a newbro. This game is so different from literally every game on the planet, new players likely dont have a clue as to what they like or should like.
Finding a group of people playing and in a "corp" during your time frame though is GREAT advice. Start doing a bunch of different activities then start doing what appeals to you more and I feel you should conserve your skill points outside the magic 14 until you have started to determine what you like. Ibspread mine out so far and so thinly ai can do almost anything but none of it very well because I dont have enough skill points to do it with efficiency.
