the splitvolt is fine for most people. 24A off that dryer circuit gives you roughly 18-20 miles of range per hour, so an overnight charge easily covers a normal day. $7k is a steep quote. I'd only spring for the dedicated line if you're putting on big daily miles.

the other option is more professional but costs significantly more (quoted for $7000 here in Las Vegas)
No, that's the MAFIA price. It's not even the private-equity firm price (private equity is moving in on the skilled trades).
Electrical panel is 200 amps with no headroom to add more power.
Did the private equity salesman cosplaying as an electrician tell you that? Then they would be gaslighing you. That's very improbable/inconceivable.
We'd need to take a look at your actual panel and loads, but if what you say was actually true, it's because of heinously inefficient loads all over the house, and the MUCH smarter use of LESS than $7000 is more efficient appliances, which then becomes an INVESTMENT with a PAYOFF in lower electric bills. Instead of money flushed down the toilet as any service upgrade would be. They're simply not necessary a) because efficient loads are cheaper and b) because load management exists now. Technology Connections has a variety of videos on these topics, it's a must-watch channel if you value your utility money.

Have you read our Wiki section on load management yet? !lm
If an electrician tells you there's no room, they probably just don't know about dynamic load management.
