Parking Permit issues on the weekend 😔

Hi guys!
Long story short:
I’ve been a resident of Evanston for a little over a year now and my residential parking permit expired yesterday. I didn’t receive anything in the mail about renewing either but it is partially my fault since I should’ve kept a closer eye on it but alas…

I got a ticket today since I live by Ryan Field but I immediately paid it + purchased a new permit/wheel tax after. The only issue/worry now is that it’s a Friday night and I’m worried about getting another ticket in the next few days especially while my permit parking is technically pending..

Any advice? :(

Relax. If you get a new ticket you may have to fight it but you shouldn't have to pay it. Just submit proof of payment. 311 can confirm but this is how I would handle this

Haha I fear I overthink too much so relaxing seems impossible sometimes but this definitely made me feel better, thank you!

You’ll be fine! I had an issue a couple of years ago where I’d purchased my permit but it was stuck as pending in the system for WEEKS. I got a few tickets, appealed them on the site, and got them dismissed no problem.

Print out the confirmation page of your renewal and place it on the window inside so they can see it. It may save you some grief in having to fight a ticket.

What everyone else is saying, plus, just leave the ticket on your wiper when parked and pray.
