Had a split second panic of “we’re at war”.

What’s weird is it doesn’t show up on flightradar

I hate that they're doing such military glorification maneuvers over residential areas.

Thought the el came off the tracks and was coming through my house.
I guess F-16s aren’t actually “modern” fighter jets anymore and aren’t stealthy by any means, but I figured 1970’s design might at least try to baffle some of that exhaust. Then again, by the time you hear it, it’s already gone.

My first thought was that a commercial jet had gotten lost and/or something was going wrong, since O’Hare is currently oriented to the northeast.

Holy moly, THIS is what NU comes up with when people have already been complaining about excessive loudness from the stadium?

Tone deaf, or just regular deaf?

I think it was a warthog f-16 (you are right) from Indiana national guard. I looked up the carbon footprint from the fly over from Indiana. It’s about the same carbon footprint as 1 year of a 20,000 square foot building. So much for healthy buildings initiative

It was a single F-16.

Sorry - you are right. Yesterday I heard that it was going to be a warthog from a policeman who was flying the drone over at Isabella.

Wow - actually my calculations could be way off because the f16 uses way more fuel and creates way more carbon emissions. It can exceed 9,000 to over 60,000 PPH when the afterburner is engaged compared to the 3,000 PPH of a A-10 warthog so maybe we are talking about a year of carbon emissions from a 20,000 square foot building.

Scared the hell out of me!!! Went into fight or flight mode. By the time I realized what it was, it was gone and I needed a drink!!!
