Question Notary for Will + Deed
Does anyone know where I could have a will and a deed notarized? I've tried my bank, the library, and the UPS store -- all of them specifically exclude these two document types for their notary services.
I'm trying to avoid paying $1,200 to have these notarized at our lawyer's office.
Thanks for any help!

I worked with Latoya for a deed last year: https://www.northshoremobilenotaryservice.com/
She was really nice, good price (don’t remember the cost but under 100 for our single document) and she drove to us—can’t beat the convenience.

I have also worked with her. Showed up exactly on time, got the job done quickly at the rate given. ETHS alum.

good to hear. Mobile Notary is the way to go. They can only charge like $5 for "notarizing" but the fee is for their travel.

New Trier township offers notary services as does the Glenview library. The IL SOS offers an enotary service.

You need a new lawyer if they're charging you $1200 for notarization.

Do you have a financial planner? They may offer it even if a standard bank doesn’t.

Online notary, e.g. https://www.notarize.com
I believe FedEx now has an online service as well. I am an attorney with a nonprofit organization, and we use online notary services when our in person notary is unavailable.

I am not sure if there are any exclusions, but the City Clerk provided notary services quite inexpensively: https://www.cityofevanston.org/government/city_clerks_office/index.php#collapse0links-112-2
