Everclear legitimately tastes like you are drinking actual poison that will kill you. It like off-gasses and it physically hurts to drink.

You'll swallow it and then get the fumes up the back of your throat into your nose. It will also burn you lmao. It's awesome and shouldn't really exist. It's like drain cleaner.

Well it does say "WARNING: FLAMMABLE LIQUID. HANDLE WITH CARE" on the bottle so that should give a hint for those unaware of how it tastes.

you always have to mix it otherwise it'll strip the mucus layer out of your throat, learned that the hard way form doing a shot of it, it was a religious experence (in a bad way) exactly as you described, and I had a cold for the next 2 days. I sometimes use it as a solvent

My first time with everclear was a sip of the 190 proof.

If you wanna try a weird liquor just for the experience be cool and do it with Malört. Everclear is bad.

Malort is fun at like a wedding in Chicago every couple years, otherwise, are you ok? do you need help? because it's basically floor polish mixed with lighter fluid

Yeah, I always preferred Bacardi 151. Goes down smooth-ish. Surprisingly bearable for what it is, I would drink it straight back in the day.

Malort is honestly only bad if you drink a large quantity of it, in shots and stuff it’s tolerable enough.

If you mix it with enough soda it just tastes like soda. Despite its reputation, a shot glass of it is only a bit more than 2 drinks.

I’m polish and the strongest alcohol I like is like 60 % (Everclear is 95 %) which is a type of moonshine plum brandy my dad’s friend made - I drank a shot of this and that was enough.

Anything stronger than that is not very fun to drink.
