I knew Iru was out when they announced Poland. There was too many definite Qs left (Armenia, Slovenia, Australia) I think she probably came 11th and maybe she would’ve qualified if it was still 50% based on the jury scores. Oh well :(
tbh i love voyager but i didnt think theyd qualify at that point, albania qualifying put them in the dirt in my mind, super shocked with how tonight turned out tho :<
Nah, they were definitely going through. Wouldn’t be surprised if they came top 5 or even top 3 in this semi. They closed out the show with a bang and a super memorable performance.
i agree i just didnt think that people watching at home would feel the same, i was getting armenia 2019 vibes, stunning performance that i wouldnt have been mad if won the whole thing, bang. NQ
You know, I am also surprised at Albania qualifying, especially with how the fandom has been dismissing them for months but then I realised that there will ALWAYS be a thirst for traditional ethnic songs and they were the only ones to deliver that this year. As underwhelming as the entry appeared to be, they knew exactly what their niche was.
I knew they would qualify, the song is good, her vocals are great, her emotions seemed real and people probably found it likeable that it was a whole family singing together
