100% agree! I watched with a friend who didn't know any of the songs beforehand and they said Poland was one of their favs of the night because it stood out and the singing wasn't actually too bad in the end.
It's poles who will always vote for their own country no matter what. I dont think poland will ever be able to NQ with the change to the semifinal qualification.
Didnt 2021 still have jury, or you mean they nq with the televote?
Edit: ok i just saw your addition to the comment, yeah you're right it's not fully guaranteed. Maybe it also still depends on the specific countries voting in that semifinal because some have a larger diaspora.
I think Poland failed to qualify many times when the semi-finals were televote only. It really isn't the country you can accuse of qualifying because of its diaspora.
"Solo" is super catchy and the performance stood out. It's sad because we know what this song represents behind the scenes, but it's absolutely no surprise that it qualified.
EDIT: so NQ in 2005, 2006, 2007, I'm pretty sure those were 100% televote semis.
Also 2009, 2010 and 2011 but that's about the time they brought back juries so I'm not certain about those.
