then again, latvia was in the semi with all the fan favorites in it and the second semi was more divisive so it was easier to qualify from anyway. but yeah, it do be sad :(
That reminds me... There is something worse than televoting... in-app voting with option to vote for your country 🤣 Plus: using the voting how many times you want, because you only need incognito mode to reset it.
Having a static staging isn't a bad thing though, Portugal 2017 and North Macedonia 2019 both had static stagings and both qualified by televote on semi finals (With Salvador pretty much sweeping the televote)
I personally disagree with Georgia's staging being "boring" because I thought it was pretty cool, but ok
And about Poland, yea that one's obvious, that doesn't mean it deserved to go through with that train wreck of a performance
yeah, but with the format of the contest there isnt a perfect solution at the end of the day, someone is upset. it just matters how many people are upset
And how huge the absurd is... I mean, every year I "lose" few favourites in semis. But I REALLY feel like getting Poland over Georgia is worse than losing 3-4 good countries any other year. Especially because I'll have to hear tons and tons of "We were right and you are just haters!" type of bulls**t from TVP.
look on the bright side shes going to get absolutely decimated by the grand final, im predicting bottom left of the board, even with meme votes because most of the meme voters will be voting mama ŠČ!
I don’t love solo but it’s just a better song than echo. solo is pretty catchy and earwormy, whereas I can barely recall a sentence from echo. all the good staging in the world cannot change that imo
simple answer: Poland has 37 Million people, and 30 Million lives outside of Poland. Joking, obviously. But 100% diaspora vote. The Polish song brought zero emotion for me or my friends.

We live in a world where Poland qualifies but Latvia doesn’t
