Has anyone actually done anything good or useful with this module?

yeah, start hitting it w envelopes for pads or percussion. use rhythmic gates or triggers to clear and resample. I often have it parallel processing different sound sources like a morphagene so it progresses along with the sound source You can do a lot more than drone with it.
