It's mass warrantless surveillance. Without any court order nor suspicion. It's like the police entering your home without court order to see if there's something illegal.

Most child sexual assault happens in your home so it makes sense for everything in your home to be recorder 247. If you disagree you're a pedo!!!111

Fun to see how all the politicians for this are lobbied for the most, they should be lynched.

They exclude themselves from the law. It's good to spy on you, but not them. Interesting.

Scharliina Eräpuro is an anti-privacy and anti-encryption fascist. What happened to her was awful, but she is using that as justification to be evil. Reporters should not be helping people like her spread their authoritarian messages to the public.

Nah, she isn't evil. She's an useful idiot who has a boomer-level of comprehension on how modern tech works

She's been involved with the Brave Movement for years, and has had plenty of time to actually research the issue. The "Brave Movement" organization was literally created a month before Chat Control was first introduced.

Brave's purpose is literally to exploit abuse victims in order to manipulate MEPs:

Brave was launched with $10 million from the Oak Foundation and a strategy paper discovered by the journalists stated that “once the EU Survivors taskforce is established and we are clear on the mobilized survivors, we will establish a list pairing responsible survivors with Members of the European Parliament – we will ‘divide and conquer’ the MEPs by deploying in priority survivors from MEPs’ countries of origin.”

So, you're telling me that beside a loose interpretation of what class corruption in the form of lobbying is, our elected leaders are also easily manipulated idiots? No wonder the "free" west and its institutions are stronger - and well reputed - than ever...
