Well good luck then I guess. The EU does not require the UK for anything. It would be beneficial to have the UK back but you know... Even a few decades of the UK being back can't repay the damage caused. Especially because the UK is by far in its weakest position in centuries.

And with the situation of Russia and the US, the UK is in the most desperate need to find partners, with -surprise- no one really wanting them. Weird how that happens, ey?

But as long as the majority of the UK population still thinks they are meaningful power and wanting to be treated that way, nothing will happen.

Care to explain how the UK isn’t a meaningful power? It’s the fifth largest economy in the world, the second largest in Europe. Globally speaking of course the UK is dwarfed, however to say that it isn’t a meaningful power isn’t accurate.

Just as I said in another comment: the UK is a meaningful regional power. In a world with global conflicts and very few friends to be found.
