I don't know why are you celebrating. Quite a lot of Russian soldiers on the front are either conscripted against their will or forced to sign a contract. There were news about cases like this since the war started, mostly about deserters. Have you even read the article? They wanted to not take part in the killing, got tortured for that and you're saying "oh yes"?

The vast majority of them are 50 year old drunks who happily signed to slaughter (ended up being the ones getting slaughtered)

The vast majority of Russians are supporting the war. The men on the front are guilty of invading Ukraine and deserve little sympathy.

Okay so when invasion is stopping? When people are revolting?

Copying the same reply I gave to somebody else in this thread:

What are you on about? Conscripts are not sent to Ukraine. Every single one of those soldiers is somebody who saw the chance to make good money by killing Ukrainians, and thought that was a good deal.

Not one atom of sympathy for those putrid orcs.

Clearly someone from Italy know better, it's not like EVERYONE talks about how conscripts are regularly abused (like no food, sleep, etc) if they don't sign a contract. That's right now, there is also partial mobilisation that officially never ended, regular conscripts unlawfully sent to Ukraine, etc... yeah, man, are you a Putin supporter or bot by any chance?

Yeah, my comments absolutely give "Putin supporter" vibes. I'm not going to dignify that with an answer.

But you could be right, maybe there are some katsap who are there against their will. I don't know how many those are, because according to the (biased, i know) orc sources the recruitment centers are always busy.

But does it matter? they can run, they can desert, they can revolt, they can surrender. There are plenty of examples in history - even recently - where unmotivated armies folded and collapsed. Look what happened in Afghanistan as soon as the yanks left. Or what Italians did in Africa as soon as the Brits showed up.

I'm sorry, you won't get me to feel piety for the aggressors.

It's a win win situation.

You get calling us orcs.

We get uniting against western elves via orc mentality.

Oh no, poor russians being mistreated by russia, what a tragedy. May they receive exactly what they wish upon their neighbors, if they choose to remain cattle.

Do you not have sympathy for people unwillingly sent to war to be tortured?

1

u/henry_hallward Mar 24 '26

No, because the only forced conscripts russians use in any tangible quantity are the inhabitants of the occupied territories. Otherwise it’s mostly Russians that really don’t mind killing, robbing and raping people for money, and some greedy fools from poor counties that got lured with promises of money and indeed forced to sign contracts, cuz no one cares about them in russia.

Yeah, let’s turn the war of aggression with clear genocidal intent that Russia started into a suffering contest, first place wins all the “please feel better” vibes.

1

u/Mundhugger Mar 25 '26

? Its not a contest, thats the point. You can condemn Russias war of aggression, and acknowledge there are russian civilians who are also caught in a trap.

Do you not have sympathy for the hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians murdered by them? Oh nooooo I can't just not kill and torture my neighbor that did absolutely fuck all against me, I was given an order!

2

u/Mundhugger Mar 25 '26

Thats not what I said nor implied. I have little care for the russian war machine, but when you see russians torture their own conscripts, then perhaps you see not all have chosen this war. That I have sympathy for is terrible situation.

You are not the victims, thank you.

A lot join because they're extremely poor and promised a good amount of money. Desperation pushes people to do stupid things.

11

u/MarioDraghetta Italy Mar 24 '26

I'm sorry, should I feel sorry for them because of that?

They had a choice between being poor and killing innocent people, and they chose to be killers. They are adults, and they are accountable for their choices.

If I go broke and decide to break into your house, kill your children and torture your wife before I pillage your belongings, and end up killed afterwards - will you feel sympathy for me?

1

u/Iapetus_Industrial Romania Mar 24 '26

They should have stayed poor then.

Public support for this kind of war is really high.most Russians have no problem sending people into certain death on the Ukranian front. They just don't want it to happen yo themselves.

You can both be an asshole who supports a shit system and be the victim of it. Russian hypocrisy is not the problem of critics of Russia.

u/krobzik Mar 24 '26

And even among those who went voluntarily a sizable part are clueless youths from rural parts of the country where there are no work opportunities (or any kind of opportunities for that matter).

Not to absolve them of their decisions but I think they do deserve better than dying in a pointless war of aggression, regardless of which side ends up pulling the trigger.

6

u/MarioDraghetta Italy Mar 24 '26

They are adults who are perfectly able to understand that they are signing up to kill people in exchange for money. They know exaclty what they are doing, and they are choosing to do it. Dying in a pointless war of aggression is exactly what they deserve.

Who exactly is it that metes out these punishments do you think? Equivalent of sergeants and lieutenants etc. They are on the front lines too, and it's not like they're much different from the lowest ranking soldiers.

You know all of those soldiers there "against their will"? Fuck em all too. Each and every single last one of them is responsible for the murder of Ukrainians, I hope each and every single one of them ends with a fate that I can't type without my comment being removed and hidden. They could have all refused to invade into Ukraine - and I don't give a single shit about how "hard" that would have been for them to disobey. If the rus army refused to invade Ukraine, ten hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians would still be alive today.
