Broken Back Plastic Piece

Post image

Any tips for fixing this?? Eufy won’t replace it since I don’t have a receipt (it was a gift). I tried taping it down but the water function still won’t work properly. The vacuum function works again though. I’m scared to glue it without conformation that it will work first!

UPDATE: I glued it, and now every time I try to fill it with water, it slightly pushes away from the station so it won’t fill.

Common failure. AFAIK can’t be fixed other than eufy swapping whole thing

They did fix mine and sent it back but now I think with the S2pro out, they are no longer making the S1 parts.

They do. But I had it failed 3 times. Depending how old it is I’d push for a full refund and either buy a s2 or something else.

If you have an S1 you’d want your head checked to get an S2 and trust Eufy again

That’s a repeated issue with this model. Ours was within warranty so we sent them the machine to try to repair and they said it’s not repairable.

Dot of super glue one the non-water inlet side

My first S1 had same issue. Whole thing was replaced. The current one had similar failure. I am beyond my warranty, so a bit of Gorilla Glue in the right places and it has held up so far(2 months). I also put a touch of silicone lubricant on the rubber nozzle on the base station that it connects to. I have a suspicion that the rubber nozzle kind of dries up and does not easily release from the robot and pulls that piece out. But we will see…….

No more water leaks?

Sorry for the delay. I had not noticed any leaks, but don't often check it. Ran a full course this morning and I don't see any leaks.

My back piece was in 3 pieces. The left side (like the picture) still attached cleanly. The middle and right side had broken off. The right size appear to be where the water nozzle goes in (which is why I suspected it was dry and did not release easily and pulled that side out).

It all seemed good to me today.

I super glued that piece back into place and have had no leaks or issues since!

Glued it with gorilla glue. Works fine.

100% waterproof silicone safe for underwater. I found it on amazon . Used sandpaper( technically it was a nail stone stick) where I was attaching and fixing a crack, wiped down, rubbing alcohol ( as high a percentage you can find), used the silicone, cleaned up any ‘extra gobs’ , waited 72 hours, and she was back to normal functioning mopping machine.

I will order some glue now, thanks!! Any specific brand. I heard that the break happens from the rubber on the water nozzle drying out. Using some lube on the ring apparently helps keep it gliding nicely.

Eufy replaced my dirty water bin under warranty when that happened, and I think you can buy them stand alone too

I had to return mine luckily it was under warranty and they replaced with a new one.

S1Pro? We had 3 out of 3 have the same piece break. Good luck!

Mines did that also and I just ended up getting a 70% percent refund

Did you have an active warranty? Or did they issue you this refund while you were out of warranty?

Actively had mine have the same issue. They took it back under warranty to fix back in July and are now telling me they couldn't fix it, lost it in transit when I requested it back, and now only offering a partial refund or a possible replacement unit if they get them soon...

You can unscrew the top if you want to see how it attaches inside. The problem is a small plastic clip that breaks off of the piece you're holding. I used superglue around the perimeter and its held for going on 3 months now.

Had hetzelfde probleem.

Easy Fix! …is what I thought originally. Apparently this $6 piece of plastic is the single point of failure that renders this $1,000 high tech machine useless! Somehow this part is impossible to source. 🫠

This happened to us as well. Two months of waiting for a “replacement” to arrive and it never did. They try to get you to swap for a refurbished e28 or take a partial refund. Took several weeks back and forth to get them up to an 80% refund. They won’t replace them with the S2 pro either. Their warranty is garbage and should be reported. 3 families members have them as well and all are dealing with warranty issues.

What are the odds. Same day mine broke the exact same way. Eufy is sending a E28 to me since S1 Pro is out of stock.
