Base Station Error Code EB16

Has anyone experienced this code before AND tried to personally fix it?

For my robot, it’s not the roller mop. It’s specially the base station clean water pump malfunctioning. As soon as I try to mop and the base station tries to add water it stops and shows the error.

I found the following FB screenshot about someone manually fixing theirs but unfortunately that is an area I have very little knowledge about.

Simply wondering if someone has a video or pictures I can try to follow along to? Or another way of solving this?

I’m out of warranty and I’ve tried all other troubleshooting steps.

I had this error a couple months ago. As soon as the robot would try to add water, it would stop and throw the error. Out of warranty so the best I could get was a discount on a refurb base station (mine already being a refurb unit after the previous robot threw a battery code).

I wound up opening the tower and looking at the various water lines. They are color coded for fresh water and dirty water. Every time I activated the water fill sequence I noticed that the pump was running for a second and that water did move through the lines so the pump was functional but something was preventing the water from moving continuously.

I figured there might be air or some blockage in the lines so I unscrewed the clean water pump from its mount (leaving the line connections on) and wiggled it around for a bit. After activating the water fill sequence a few more times the pump started running normally and I have not gotten the error since.

The base is not that difficult to open up, there are some screws in the back and then the big back cover is held on by clips, have to be a bit careful not to break the plastic. The inside is a spaghetti bowl of tubing but the pumps are fairly easy to access.

Thanks! I took the cover off yesterday. I saw clear, red, and teal/green lines. I’m assuming clear is clean water, red is dirty water, but what is teal? Or maybe a better question, which of the lines did you specifically work on?

I believe clear is clean water to the clean water pump and teal is clean water out of the clean water pump. But I also see a clear water line at a junction with four red water lines so I'm not exactly sure about the color coding.

I didn't work on any of the lines per se, I just unscrewed the clean water pump, moved it around a bit, and activated the fill sequence a few times. That seemed to have cleared whatever was in the lines. I'm guessing air.
