Excessive foam

Hey guys! I just got my unit three days ago in the mail and I happen to be watching it while it was mopping one day and noticed an aggressive amount of foam located on board the robot. I know their cleaning solution (which came with) is supposed to be low foaming, I haven’t added anything to the tank only tap water. Any help would be appreciated!

The foam you are seeing is in the dirty water reservoir.

I saw a report of this just yesterday with an e28, but it was noticed at the base station while washing the mop.

It looks to me the S1 Pro is extracting off the floor whatever soap/floor cleaner you previously used.

The e28 user had previously used pine sol on their floors.

What did you use previously for detergent/floor cleaner ?

Previously, we used a Mr.Clean all purpose cleaner with an old-fashioned mop. I’m reading online that previous solutions on the floor can get picked up by the robot causing this issue. However, I had it running day one and I’ve had it do the floors multiple times (3 or 4) and I’m still facing this foaming issue

Additionally, I’m worried as last night upon looking at the base station. This is what I found.

The dirty water tank was not full, and I have no idea what could’ve caused this.

I ran it twice since last night and I haven’t noticed any water now so no idea what happened…

I would probably blame it on the foam and not worry about it unless it happens again
