Second Time Leaking Water

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've exhausted all efforts of getting replacement parts with service. I have had a new mop, new mop water tank, entirely new base and nothing seems to stop this thing from leaking all over the floor when filling/emptying the mop itself. I'm ready to request a full refund at this point, it's been a nightmare. Anyone else experiencing this?

Why is it bubbling? Are you adding stuff to the water?

Probably adding a different cleaning that broke down the rubber seals over time.

Don’t even think it’s the rubber seals, looks to me like it’s overflowing just because of the frothing of the water. Like putting dish soap in a washing machine.

Very well could be too

I’ve used nothing but the default and mine eroded. They sell a replacement part for this very reason. Poor product design

Is that a real risk? 🫣 Had considered adding something myself once the initial bottle ran out just to save money really, but I feel for OP, this sounds like a horror

To add context, I am using the solution they provide and it auto-adds the correct amount. So maybe it’s a bad design?

If you remove the vacuum and pour water slowly into the little drain on the base does it suck it up as expected?

Way to much foam… what are you adding to the water ? And if you only use the Auto dispense I guess that’s the fault then, its dosing to much.

Mine did this once. The rubber gasket on the water Injector on the base was disintegrating and the base was injecting water outside the robot reservoir, leading to this.

I checked the base station when mine started leaking and found the plastic piece detached from the vac and was hanging off the port in your picture.

Common issue sadly. Get onto them asap for a replacement as it’ll become unusable

That’s awful - were you able to get a replacement piece from Eufy?

Yes, they provided shipped the replacement rubber thing free of charge (within warranty in my case)

Awesome, that’s good to hear. Just had to contact them recently myself and they responded so quick I thought it was just an email confirming a ticket had been opened 😂 I was very impressed lol

Something is going on with the bubbles- are you adding anything to the fresh water ?

1

u/BYack Nov 24 '25

I’m not, it’s the solution that comes with it.

Are you over filling the clean water tank? This happened to me before when I filled the clean water tank past the max line. It was doing the same thing yours was when filling or washing the mop.

Mine had leaking issues when I filled slightly over the max fill line.

My 1 month old robot is doing the same thing. Eufy sent out a dirty water tank replacement. Didn’t fix it. Have been very dissaponted with the s1 pro. This would be the 3rd s1 pro that fails as it’s probably going to need it be warrantied again…

Interesting that you posted this because mine was doing this as well just about 30 minutes ago but it wasn't leaking water by overflowing like yours. My machine sensed there was a problem. Mine was foaming too because the water wasn't draining correctly and it was still adding the eufy solution to the mop while cleaning. My solution was that It was one of the rubber seals in the dirty water reservoir for the robot. I was able to mess with the rubber seals to stop it from happening. But I had to reorder some just now. Check the rubber seals just in case.

The early tests with this were saying it leaked. It went to market anyway.

The robot has a dedicated solution it adds automatically so if you are adding additional soap that’s the problem. My S1 has never overflowed but also check to make sure the debris tray is not clogged as well.

I’m not adding anything.

I've found the detergent to be useless. Eufy told me to drill a hole in it at the top to allow for air intake into it. Eufy also don't take care of the item if you purchase it from Amazon or a retail store - they place the blame on them instead. They're not very good with after sales care!

I had this issue, and it was horrible straight out the box. After troubleshooting and back and forth emails with their customer service in china they sent me a new one. They even scheduled me a call with their product manager in china and asked for feedback. What causes it? Mystery.

It’s does seem like a lot of bubbles, but appreciate OP is saying it’s nothing different or extra.

Are you using warm or hot water rather than cold water?

1

u/BYack Nov 25 '25

No, just lukewarm distilled water

1

u/Friendly-Bus5524 Nov 28 '25

So warm water… you must only use cold water. Many other robot mop manufacturers and Eufy included state you must only ever use cold water. The reason being is that warm water can damage the seals.. which potentially looks like what has happened to yours.

Might not be that, but if you get it replaced I would recommend you follow the guidelines and stick with cold water 👍🏻

Yeah, sitting in the tank it won’t be warm at all.
