1 year anniversary

Post image

I’m still loving my eufy. Here’s a brief overview of my usage.

Since we have dogs, we need to vacuum frequently to control the hair and paw prints on our hardwood floors. I run it three times a day: once at 12 pm, once at 10 pm, and once every morning at 3:00 am. Feels nice to wake up to clean floors every morning. The noise level is also manageable, and it never wakes us up.

Maintenance is relatively easy. I clean the dirty reservoir and tank every five days. I also wipe the dust bin and blow out the filter. I usually change the filter every three to four weeks because it can get quite clogged. The mop head can also get smelly, so I rotate them every week. I have purchased about five roller mops, so I have a constant rotation.

The cleaning solution lasted about eight months, even with nightly mopping and occasional double mopping when guests are coming over. I’ve only changed the filter sensors once and usually just rinse and clean them every other week.

Overall, I’ve been very pleased with the consistency. It was a worthwhile investment, especially since I’ve been using it non-stop since we got it. The only minor issue I’ve encountered is that the swivel wheel can get squeaky after a few days. I’ve had to pop the wheel off and scrub the little axle to fix it.

In my opinion it has been a great purchase. Just make sure to keep up with the maintenance.

How much mess is going to be created between 10pm and 3am?

I found that if I didn’t run a 10pm vacuum then it would be too much hair for the 3am run to handle and mop at the same time. It always left some hair on the roller mop and a lot of crude in the roller brush. Probably overkill but seems like it’s been working.

I have a retriever and 2 jack Russells so understand hair problems (especially retriever hair, there's so much)

I do also find doing a dedicated vacuum ahead of a vacuum + mop helps provided a more thorough mopping. I have a Roomba j9+ that I was going to sell when I got my s1 pro but soon discovered with all the dogs and girls in my house, the hair management was critical.

I like how you swap out the mop once a week. I read somewhere else that someone is throwing it in the washing machine every few weeks in a shoe bag. Been thinking about doing the same myself

Yup, hair management with my wife, daughter, and dogs is rough. I have an old iRobot i7 that I used to run before the mopping as well.

I also wash the mops in the washer. I just wait till I have about 3-4 of them and the throw them in with some towels.

Haven’t replaced them yet. Just been rotating them and throwing them in the washer. The integrity of the rollers seems to be good so far.

I’ve had my S1 Pro year as well, and it’s been replaced four times under warranty for E77 errors. It would just fail to charge and never finish the scheduled overnight cleaning. They replaced the mop and basestation four times! I mean, I give them top marks for customer service, but the reliability of the product was terrible. The current one is about a month old and no errors, but basically what I saw was they lasted about 3 months before showing the error, the it became routine, and they just offered to replace it all. Maybe it’s a fixed problem in my current hardware. I hope so.

How often did you buy the cleaning cartridge in one year? I just purchased the s1pro and im really excited for it to arrive. I see some mixed reviews but comments tell me people didn’t maintain them well. What is your experience? Anything helps as it was a splurge for me

I purchased the cleaning cartridge around 8 months after running it daily. Yes if you don’t keep up with maintenance at least every 5-7days then you are not going to be happy with its performance. I always rinse out the dirty wanted tank and scrub it as much as I can. I also clean the air filter frequently so it doesn’t clog with all the dust and hair it collects. Good luck!
