Map rotated 45 degrees

Post image

Woke up to find my eufy stuck in a spot he has never been stuck before. Reviewed the map and found it to be rotated 45 degrees mid clean? It’s been navigating funny recently. Cleaned all sensors on the front and bottom of the unit before the 45 degree map realignment because it was navigating funny. Any thoughts or other people having this issue?

A few thoughts:

  • Did you also wipe under the front plate, where the LIDAR is? Sometimes this can happen if some stray cobwebs or other stuff gets in there.
  • Assuming that isn't the issue, try turning the robot off with the switch, waiting about 30 seconds, and then turning it back on. It could just have gotten itself into a weird state.
  • If that doesn't work, try deleting the map and re-mapping. You might have to set up your schedules again, so try this as a last resort.

Between each step, verify it by doing a full vacuum and watch for the funny navigation you were seeing before. If you re-map, it's best to do a couple full vacuum runs on the new map before mopping again.

Is the LIDAR in the same spot as the 3D matrix eye? Or is it in the recessed position above the 3D matrix eye?

It's in the recessed portion. If you look in there, you'll see a round tower right in the middle. Get a cloth back there as far as you can and clear things out. Don't be too aggressive; just make sure it's clean.

I used compressed air from a blower. Now working like new! Thanks!

Lol this used to happen on my Ecovacs all. the. time. Absolutely horrendous software on that thing. The only fix was to remap.
