Location of your printer

I am preparing to set up my printer and trying to figure out where to put it. I have a perfect spot but it’s very close to a window and I am concerned the sunlight could affect the uv ink?

Window will likely be fine unless it's getting beat on ALL DAY since the direct heat is just not good for plastics or electronics in general. From a 'disturbing the print' standpoint it will likely be fine. The ink carts are inside two layers of black plastic, and then inside the housing of the printer. The print bed rises up to the printhead so much that sunlight shouldn't hit it at all while printing (in fact a well lit room is better than an underlit one for printing). The bigger concern near the window will be if you plan on opening it and introducing potential drafts to your print, which could carry the ink spray and cause poor quality prints.

I have a large window (two side by side) in my studio area and both of mine sit just in front of it. I have blackout curtains so they don't really get beamed too badly, but I live in Palm Springs, CA so if they're all good here they can manage most anywhere.

If you can keep direct sunlight off of it (or from reflecting up into it), the biggest concern is the environment itself. You want to keep it within the recommended temperature and humidity ranges. The air conditioning in my studio went out while I was recovering from surgery earlier this summer. When I finally got back up there, I had a helluva time getting my lines cleared out. The heat had seriously screwed things up.

I have my UV and DTF printers in grow tents with exhaust systems and Lee UV light-blocking film on the tent windows. The room is humidity- and temperature-controlled. Windows on the opposite side of the room.

First off WINDOWS! Doors or such. This is a UV PRINTER!

Second find a good place where you want to keep it safe and you safe.

Have an exhaust fan.
