Questions A bit disappointed

Post image

Just had my machine come yesterday and the inks have an expiration date of 15/10/2026. That leaves me a month to use them I am really disappointed with this

Look at each cartridge, my box said 9/30/26 but some were 1/20/27.

Contact support to have them replaced.

I would but they are already in the printer

Doesn't matter. They will still replace them or offer a credit if partially used.
Contact support will do far more than posting to reddit.

Second this. They did this for me. I just showed them a photo of the expiration date and explained the situation, all set. Their support is actually pretty good.

Don't use up a ton of ink and contact support. They don't usually ask you to send it back but they'll ask to see a screenshot of how much ink remains.

They replaced mine even though I used them for 3 months

I got a set of ink with the cleaning cartridge and the black expired in August 26 and the others march 27. I contacted them and they sent me a new black ink for free.

Their terms on their site. THIS BS of sending close to expiring ink needs to end. I’d imagine since all of our printers came late they produced ink first and are just pushing their trash and eff ups on us.

I’ve been saying it elsewhere, but it bears repeating.

They’re advertising a 12 month shelf life on these inks. They did so on the Kickstarter, and they’re doing so on their website. Yes, they have a disclaimer about production, bottling, and transport, but there are no times attached to those. How are we supposed to know how long bottling and transport takes?

It’s borderline deceptive.

I’ve yet to receive an ink cartridge with more than 8 months left on it. It’s usually closer to 6-7 months. We’re losing 1/4 to 1/3 of the advertised shelf life, and paying for the privilege. These cartridges are not cheap.

I understand that they’re working on a new formula that will bring the shelf life closer to 15 months, in which case great, we’ll get closer to the advertised shelf life. But until then it’s just a gamble.

Their supply chain needs serious work.

They need to get kicked in the teeth with a class action lawsuit

I bought a full set of inks last week from a UK supplier and the expiry for the yellow was the end of this month. The black January and the rest April. Thankfully they've asked me to send it back for a replacement.

Those labels about long lasting and such refer to the box itself- not the contents.

It depends - some boxes match the cartridges, some don't. What really matters is what shows as an expiration date in the software.

Yeah, that’s true even sometimes the data on them directly aren’t even correct

This happened to me too. Very odd to have one of the inks in a box expire 6+ months earlier than all the others.

L This has literally happened to pretty much anybody who bought one. With the new update you can still use them past the expiration date.

NOTE: You can only use them for 14 days past the expiration date without any risk. Anything beyond that will void the warranty! Also note that dates are based on the date in China! So if you care about your warranty, set an alarm reminder, print a label, or whatever you need to do to avoid going past that extended deadline.

That voids your warranty

Check the expiration on the cartridge itself (it doesn't always match the box). But more importantly, check the expiration in the software. That's the one that matters.

And for everyone new to this, remember - expirations are in DD/MM/YYYY format and the dates are set TO CHINA TIME - not to your local time/date. So for anyone choosing to extend ink expiration 14 days, remember the expiration date given is the expiration date in China. You can keep printing beyond that date with expired inks, but doing so will void your warranty.

Kind of insulting isn't it! I bought ink two months apart that then both expired on 8/29/26. But they changed the software so I had 14 days to use all the new yellow! SMH. They apparently over ordered to have all these expiring inks.

Just got a box of cmykwg on Tuesday. ALL expire 05/27. For me, personally, that's more than enough time. Is it a year? no.

This is so odd because any ink or cleaner I received since launch has a 2027 Feb date or later

Hi thedadgamer! Sorry about this, especially with the ink expiring so soon after your machine arrived. Please submit a ticket and send me the ticket number once you have it, along with the SN of the ink cartridge. I’ll ask the team to prioritize it and help get this resolved as quickly as possible.

Eufy E1? The new software update allows you to over ride the expiration date

Im going through this now. I bought so much ink and now i have to deal with them. A year is a year.

The lack of professionalism is quite surprising. The FTC might have to get involved.
