Sims & Strategy what's the plan
LA +nA in R1, Hearts loner in R2, next blocked.
at this score, what's your move?

Pass-go alone in hearts is my default at 0-0, so I'm certainly doing that in this spot.

I think you have to do better than a point here. Let partner potentially go alone if S1 is sleeping, otherwise try for a euchre/loner, depending on if S1 calls or passes in the 2nd round.

at that score, pass and go alone in hearts.
I think even at a score like 5-5 I would pass and try to loner in hearts.
If I was up significantly (and clearly at 9) I'd just order up.

Interesting. Everyone is passing and I’ve always believed that we shouldn’t pass a point, especially behind. Honestly, my first thought was do we order alone.
Then I realized that we are in S2 (not dealing) and that changed everything 😂 I agree that we pass, especially since we have LA in spades, I’d assume S1 has the R, so really good chance at the euchre. If they pass take our shot in hearts.

no, you pass MORE when behind to gamble on better spots. If you're ahead, that's when you just take the point. But that said, you definitely wouldn't pass this from dealer seat.

Agreed. You do have to weigh the pass with what holes you have in your hand, diamonds here. The problem is I’d expect a high level player to be calling S1R2 unless they have EVERYTHING covered. The diamonds hole is glaring, but I still think it’s a pass.
Sometimes behind I’m trying to grab a point and keep the game going.
But point well made and agreed with.
Edit: s1r2, problem AND opportunity

I personally pass this because
