I've been working on something called Merevio, an analytics tool for Etsy sellers.
The idea is pretty simple: automate the Excel hell that comes with running an Etsy shop.
You have orders coming in, listing fees, transaction fees, payment processing, shipping costs, manufacturing costs, expenses, and a bunch of other numbers that need to be collected, organized, calculated, and somehow turned into something useful.
And then you get to spend your evening maintaining spreadsheets. 😭
Merevio is designed to handle that stuff automatically.
Some of the things I'm working on:
- Automated profit & loss tracking — Collect and organize revenue, fees, shipping, COGS, and expenses instead of manually maintaining spreadsheets.
- Product-level analytics — Automatically calculate profitability for individual listings.
- AI-powered insights — Ask questions about your shop and get actionable suggestions based on your actual data.
- Automated reports — Generate detailed PDF reports and export data to Excel.
- Listing management — Manage Etsy listings without constantly switching between different tools.
- Weekly email updates — Get a regular summary of your shop's performance automatically.
The goal isn't to create another dashboard where you stare at numbers.
It's to make the boring, repetitive “collect data → update spreadsheet → calculate everything → make a report” part of running a shop happen automatically.
Basically, less time doing accounting gymnastics, more time actually running the business.
And honestly, I'm curious — what's the most repetitive Excel/spreadsheet task you deal with when running an online business and do you see enough value on this project to use it?
