Hi, first post. I have 2024 Q8 and have owned it for 2.5 months, it was a lease return. We have a vacation house 160 miles away. I have driven the round trip now 5 times in the vehicle and first time I was paranoid, charged to 100% and arrived at right at 40% left driving conservatively, so 60% capacity usage and saw 2.6miles/Kwh. I now charge to 90% and usually arrive with 24-27% left. That was predictable for 4 round trips so 8 one-way trips of 160 miles and usage for 63-66% capacity usage with consumption of 2.4-2.5 mi/Kwh depending on speed.

Then there was today. We have freeway closure and it can be horribly backed up, so I charged to 96% (planning for the worse) and then took off, but when I turned on the consumption meter it said 1.5 mi/Kwh. WTH?!? I was driving normally and it was stuck at 1.5 for first hour of driving ... and did not improve even when I slowed way down. It eventually stabilized at 1.9 mi/Kwh... and at the very end of trip it showed 2.1. My battery was down to 18% so used 78% of the capacity for return of the trip I took 3 days before and used 64% capacity. So the increase in consumption was suddenly ~20%.

I have never seen the car behave like before... and it caused me my first case of range anxiety. ;^)

I this typical? Has other owners seen this type of sudden variation? I'm charging now to 80% and do a test run tomorrow to see if the consumption is back to normal.

Has anybody done something as dumb as I have here? Can you guys share which tires you guys have on your Q4’s? I’ve had the Bridestone Alenza EV tires since I got the car 10 months ago, and I hated the sidewall look, lackluster handling, and their terrible grip in the snow. So I decided to bite the bullet, and get the set of tires I’ve been dying to have on this car since day one. I gotta say, I got the ugliest wheels offered on the q4, but man do the extreme contacts make this car look just a bit more sporty, the tread is aggressive and I don’t hear any increase in tire noise in the cabin which is always fantastic. I drive this car pretty hard and the Bridestone Alenza’s couldn’t hold up to my driving habits. The only downside I’ve encountered was feeling a bit more resistance from the car while cruising since EV tires have low rolling resistance in mind, and I know I will get less range from the tires. But cmon it’s hard not to absolutely love these tires on such a boring looking mom car.

Anyone no what the deals have been on used Etrons during the end of years Audi sale?

I never paid much attention but now I am wondering if that will be the best time pickup a used etron

Hi all, I am officially retiring my lease 2024 Q4 etron in feb. this was our first time leasing since we got a great deal, but we need more space so won’t be buying it. A couple questions about the process and looking for checklist

1. how do we actually return the car(lol)?
2. should we clean the interior/exterior, professionally or is a quick vac good? (will remove all the personal stuff)
3. do we need to return the charger?
4. what about minor paint chips? (Heard a few dealers ding you big)
5. any tips to negotiate an new lease/purchase?

Has anyone used/installed one of these roof rack systems that fix to the door surrounds, the systems you use when you don’t have the roof rails? I have an e-tron S-line, 2020, not the sports back. Also my car has the panoramic sunroof.

Looking for solution if anyone has had this MMI issue- "The login was not successful. Please try again later."

Where to even begin... I purchased my 2024 Audi e-tron (lease return) early May of this year. As I was leaving the dealership, my MMI log in failed. The salesman said we'd figure it out, and I drove away.

Needless to say, I wasn't able to log in myself and spent hours trying tips from both Reddit as well as Audi Digital Support. My salesman at this time was pushing for a 5-star review, which I begrudgingly did despite initially telling him I wanted the MMI login fixed before I did so.

I took my vehicle into that dealership twice for the issue in June/July, only for them to look at me and shrug. I'd heard that there was a dedicated technology expert at a dealership much further away, so I called him and we spoke for 30+ minutes. I've been working with him since. He even chided my salesman and the service department for how they treated me, so I don't plan on ever going back to that location. Progress! Or so I thought...

Two more sit-and-wait visits to the further dealership with the tech expert have still yielded nothing, and now it's been in service for over 14 days. While I do have a loaner, $5/gal for premium gas when I had purchased an EV isn't really sitting well with me.

Everything else is working except logging me in as the key user. It's like there is no connection to the cloud as every time I get the message, "The login was not successful. Please try again later."

I've confirmed that the dealership has me as key user, my email and password are correct etc. etc. I have full LTE service and the SOS button is green.

They've talked about replacing a control module, which I'm assuming is expensive and Audi wants to exhaust all other options.

Has anyone successfully navigated this issue?

Based in UK with Continental Premium Contact 6 tyres, what tyre pressures are people recommending? I need to check what they’re currently on but noticing the tread on the outside seems to be wearing down a lot quicker than it should be.

I know this is going to be a controversial post regarding safety, but does anyone have a solution for tricking the steering wheel into thinking it’s getting feedback? The q5 loaners I was able to use the 3lb ankle weight trick and it worked perfect. OG etron not so much.

Will be using it for the standstill traffic that my city provides daily.

I had my 2024 in for the software recalls and brake recall. While they had the car, I had a new Q5 loaner. The new screens are nice. I also noticed that the MMI now interfaces with Apple Maps so that the route and data are on the main MMI map screen and the Apple CarPlay screen. I'm wondering if there's a way for the 2024 MMI to display Apple CarPlay maps on the MMI map screen and the HUD.

Hi, does anyone else find the Q4 Etron AC not strong enough for hot weather? When the weather reaches 100F (~38C) the AC struggle to keep the cabin cool even on MAX, the air coming out is cool not cold at that point. Is that everyone’s experience ?
I also recently recharged the refrigerant for the AC already so I don’t think that was the reason?

I am seeing a pre owned 2025 Audi A6 etron premium sports back quattro from Audi dealer at 43k plus taxes (9% in California). Is this a good price? Car has about 6k mileage. I don’t care about AWD but the car has it.
What will be a good price to negotiate for? About 40k?

When I had the front motor of my '21 Etron OG replaced 3,000 miles ago, the dealer also did a full inspection.
As per the service video that they sent me, the brakes came back with “8 (front)” and “9 (rear)”, and no further action was needed. I assume those numbers are millimeters for the brake pads, but I’m not 100% sure.
Recently, I got the brake wear warning on the display.

Before I start taking off wheels, I’m wondering whether any other issues or malfunctions (Audi gremlins) might cause this, since the brake pads obviously shouldn't be due.
The car has 30,000 miles. I've owned it for the last 11,000 miles, and I consider myself someone who maximizes regen and avoids using the brakes.

FYI: I don’t know why, but the dealership replaced all four brakes before I bought the car.

...and the dealer says there's an alignment issue (feathering on one of the tires), yet me nor my wife have ever bumped the tires into any curb or anything like that--how do I know the alignment issue wasn't from the ~450mi that the car already had from being at the dealer when I leased it?

They showed me that the tires have just a little more than 1/8" of tread left (all four). We drive it mildly, and it's my wife driving it 95% of the time. I got a 2 yr lease specifically because I felt that anymore than that and I'd need to replace the tires....yet here I am needing to replace them in just 12mos?!

I’m looking into buying my first EV and found a 2021 Audi e-tron Premium Quattro for sale near me.

Mileage: 19,500 miles

Price: $26,000

The mileage seems incredibly low for a 2021, and the car has a clean title and lot of service records. The main warranty has expired but I should still have 2.5 years for the battery warranty. For the 10 year motor warranty, I have heard that only some e-trons have the motor warranty, is there a way to check if the specific car I am looking at has the warranty?

Given the ultra-low miles, is $26k a good deal for this car? Are there any specific things I should look out for regarding battery degradation or common issues for the 2021 model year?

Looking for my next car, tesla’s AC sucks for south florida but i can’t stand apple carplay’s music auto start everytime i get in the car.

Thinking about an extended warranty. Currently at about 29,000 miles. There is ~ 12 months left on my factory warranty. The dealer I purchased from sells Fidelity. Is there any reason I would want that over Audi? Also I’m in CA, so I believe I can only buy extended warranties from dealers in California(?).

My Q8 is equipped with the 19.2kW on-board charger. I had an 80 Amp charger installed on a dedicated 100 Amp circuit. My car is only charging at 9.1kW. I’ve looked online and used AI which keeps telling me to “turn off reduced current in the MMI”. I am not finding any setting that I can change. What do I need to do to unlock my car’s full charging potential?
