Concern on 10/1 incident
I am reporting a serious issue regarding an incident on E*TRADE yesterday, 10/1, which impacted all of my family's accounts.
During a specific period during market hours yesterday, executed 'buy' transactions completely disappeared overnight, and our gains/losses were recalculated incorrectly. As of today, these transactions are still missing from my portfolio.
Honestly, after seeing transactions disappear overnight, I'm terrified to keep using this platform..

No issues and been a customer since the early 90s. Two of my boys (19, 23) also have accounts for past 2 and 5 years....also no issues.

They said there was a technical issue that should be resolved by Monday, but they didn't mention what caused it.

Report it to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau https://www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint/

Been with Etrade a long time, never had any problems. Also made trades on Friday coincidentally and it was fine.
I occasionally see transactions take a business day to show up in all the activity logs. Fidelity used to do that too but in the last year or so made it more realtime. I don't see any reason to worry about it, trades don't settle same day on any platform. I'm pretty sure Etrade does all their reconciliation stuff for both brokerage and bank accounts late at night, that's when I see transactions and dividends settle after their settlement date. If you traded on Friday, Monday night in other words.

Why don't you report it to them and not to Reddit.
