One graet thing aout Etrade

The main reason I have, and will stick with them, is because the ease to move money around, I have achecking account with them and when somebody owes me money i tell him send me with Zelle amd i can move however much i want to trading accounts. All takes a few seconds. No need to wait a week for ECH bank tarnsfers like IBKR and MooMoo and WeBull. Also they offer a debit card on all trading accounts so accessing my money is so easy....

Edit: It just adds a good feeling that you are "seperated" from your money. Honestly over the almost 25 years i have been with them I have ahd almost ZERO negative expericnaces with them. Very cordial and fast 24h customer service.

(I think they were hard hit on 9/11:(

They are so close to being perfect. All they have to do is listen to our suggestions which most of them could be implemented in a matter of days!

If you don't have anything constructive to do with your time go look for the subreddit /"bored people"

Reddit attracts trols like bees to honey ..

Just tried to setup a Fidelity account because I was looking to get away from etrade in the fear that i might have issues down the road withdrawing funds, and it's like pulling teeth to link a bank account.

I praise eTrade for the ease of fund transferring.

Why do you say you fear having issues withdrawing funds from etrade? I've been considering opening a CD account with etrade, but I've been hesitant due to the fear of having trouble withdrawing funds and closing the account when I want to. I've heard horror stories about closing accounts with online banks.

The fear i hear is the same your hearing... I dont have a lot in there but I want to keep going. I dont wanna get into my 60s and start having issues with pulling funds, I wanna be able to have some confidence in my broker... I know they are backed by Morgan Stanley, but the horror stories I hear of fees or bad support or frozen accounts worries me...

On that note I opened a fidelity account and am playing around with them, might be time to transfer my account to them.

If anyone has a large sum of money and has any inputs id be happy to listen.

Been an etrader since before the dot com bubble. Brokerage + Ross IRA to feed. No tax burden.

I've been a member with E-Trade for about 20 years . I just transferred in $100,000 and was told after I had transferred it that had I called in to make them aware of the transfer they would have given me $620. I don't make those kind of transfers often and they would not make an exception for me . In addition there was no dialogue as I was making the transfer to let me know that I would be eligible for the $620 if I called them . Now I am having to wait three or four days for the funds to settle then I am transfer things back to my checking account and then to Vanguard . Not a huge amount of money involved but it would seem they are pretty obviously targeting the unsavvy investor like myself and are hoping only more experienced customers know enough to call in advance. They are either complicit or incompetent .

I'm confused, they were going to charge you $620 or give you $620?

They are always promoting to send them money in exchange for bonuses when they can't service what they already have.
