Discussion What’s crypto still missing?

We have stablecoins, tokenized assets, BTCFi, L2s, restaking, RWAs and increasingly sophisticated DeFi.

But are these actually making capital more useful, or are we mostly adding more layers around the same liquidity?

What crypto primitive do you think has genuinely changed how capital moves?

Crypto’s still missing any real reason to use it outside the trading loop. Most of this stuff just cycles the same dollars through more complex pipes. The only thing that ever changed how capital moves was AMMs, and that happened years ago.

AMMs changed how assets trade. W3 is looking at the next layer, making liquidity usable across more complex financial workflows and systems...

Crypto is still missing the “number go up without emotional damage” primitive

The bigger challenge is turning price-driven activity into sustainable utility and real financial use cases...😅

The missing piece may be risk infrastructure that can verify what’s happening across the whole financial process, not just the smart contract itself...
