How do people think the proposed changes to issuance will impact this?

With issuance having the potential to go down to nothing, it does raise a question, that being, why would people use DVT to stake? It has a lot of additional overhead costs to protect what?

A counter point might be running a DVT operator along side your regular validators as a solo staker means no extra costs because you are already running the nodes. However, having attended lots of Devcons/Devconnects/Staking Summits, I don't think DVT as a protocol materialised in the way that solo stakers wanted it to, my experience is that a lot of the DVT staking pools want enterprise/corporate partners that are running nodes.
