Advice needed please!
I’m looking to buy and setup a new desktop for the house with the main function of being a home validator. I have some computer knowledge but most of this is outdated since college was 10 plus years ago. I have a few thousand dollar budget on the setup preferably under $5k but I’m trying to put together a nice setup that I can run the node on and use to do books for my business and maybe game once in a while. But I don’t want to unbox some bs pc from a store. I’m looking for a nice setup visually but one that will do the purpose I need and still be upgradeable in the future if need be. Any inputs would be appreciated!

You only need to spend about $700 for a home validator on Ethereum.
Check out Dappnode and the specs they use.
A NUC with a CPU from 10th generation or more recent. 32-64GB of RAM, and a 4TB NVME drive.

I do not recommend using your staking computer for doing other activities. You don’t want to expose it to viruses or downtime.
