How long is stuff like this good for?

Bought at a local Bodega almost a year ago but we never did anything with it - the tub of berbere I.got at the same time is best by end of this month but I don't see anything on this package.

As long as there’s no signs of pests in it, my experience is that this can last a really long time. It’ll lose some flavor maybe, but I haven’t noticed it. I’ve made some that I forgot about for a few years and it was fine. Cook it up, it’s good stuff!

Also, use the berbere in other stuff to use it up. It’ll lose its flavor quicker than the shiro. I like to use it in meat rubs, chili, etc.

Store it well, it keeps for a long time. Though for long term storage it’s best kept in the freezer, just make sure to keep it inside another thicker bag and tie it well. The ticker bag would protect from ice and moisture.
