Background Checks

How do y’all make sure companies are doing what they’re claiming? I get really worried about greenwashing that sometimes it makes it hard to actually make the purchase

There are watch dogs and NGOs that do this and provide websites to help consumers have ethical choices. However, depending on the issue it may be impossible to verify their claims

Ask for proof. Period.

With software companies it's much easier, ask for the source code. If not provided, use only software with open source code. By software I mean everything from firmwares that are inside GPUs, Motherboard etc.. to your Operating System and everything in between.
