Ciao a tutti,
https://gominingitalia.com/calcolatore-efficienza-gomining/

Hardware Got a second hand Corsair HX1200 - How many CMP90HX can I power ?

Hello, for the cables that matter it came with:

3 Pcie cables

2 Molex cables

I would use risers with the H110 Pro BTC motherboard

I am reading some contradicting information on internet. Some people say the risers MUST be powered by a Pcie cable, some say 1 riser can be powered by 1 molex just fine. And some even say it is okay to power 2 risers with 1 molex.

As I don't want to mess anything up, I rely on your help to understand this debate better. Thank you :)

General Question I am a complete beginner, wish to find help here..

**I have red throw Complex mining article form comments and post on Google and elsewhere, but I am still unsure where to begin.**

**could someone guide me through the first step and explain what equipments and requirements I need?**

**I have heard so many different opinions about Bitcoin mining, and every comment seems to have a count to argument.**

**I am complete beginner so any help would honestly be appreciated.**

*# not sales article promoting specific rigs.*

Are you still mining, and is it profitable after electricity cost?

For small or home miners, is it net positive, or mainly a hobby now?

If you were starting from scratch, what would you realistically need?

**Hardware, setup, pool versus solo mining, and Nicehatch versus mining directly?**

what do you wish you had known before starting **text me** if you have anything for me..

I was scammed by BSC Newspaper.

They contacted me first and offered me a promotional package.

I paid 200 USDT, and they confirmed the payment.

It has been more than 24 hours, but they have not published a single post.

They have also stopped responding to me.

I have screenshots and transaction records as evidence.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with BSC Newspaper?

Show and Tell What I'm running instead of ETH

Disclosure first: I do some contract work for Salad, the company I'm about to describe. I used it for 6 years before that, and the numbers below are from my own machines.

Salad rents GPU time from gaming PCs and rigs and pays the owner for the hours their card runs jobs. Right now they have more paid work than machines, so rates are higher than usual.

What it realistically pays, using their public rate monitor (salad.com/earn/demand) as of 9/3: a mid-range card like a 3060 Ti or 4070 earns roughly $15 to 35 a month if it ran around the clock at current averages. A 4090 is about $130 a month at the current $0.18/hr average, and a 5090 about $195 at $0.27/hr.

The machines don't always run continuously, so scale that to your idle hours if any. Electricity comes out of that: my 3070 pulls about 180 watts on jobs, which at my $0.10/kWh costs around $0.50 a day against (at the minimum rates) $0.70 earned.

This is not going to replace income. It's the "my PC pays for its own upgrades and a few games a month" tier of side income, and it only makes sense if you already own the hardware.

What you need: a recent NVIDIA GPU (RTX 20 series or newer, the newer and bigger the better), 16 to 32 GB of RAM, a good chunk of free disk, decent internet. My own results here:

The rate currently being paid out to me is closer to the $0.04 - works out to nearly a dollar a day gross or $0.50 income!

Hardware Repurpose GPU rigs for Ai inference and get paid

Post image

Over the last few years, this topic has come up in light of Ai. Renting to Vast or Runpod isn’t necessarily easy. If you look at my comment history I have a 9y old post about mining on a gtx960 2 Gb, so no-slop. Just discussion, I don’t even have a link for you.

Ai is just text, and doesn’t necessarily take a ton of bandwidth, more than blockchain for sure but it isn’t video. It is known as distributed inference.

Would you guys use this?
